Meaningful Connection: Improving our Relationships through Mindful Meditation
At the core of all of our lives are our relationships and they make up the fabric of our lives. Wherever we are, we are relating to someone – ourselves, family members, friends, co-workers, strangers and even our pets. Everyone wants these interactions to be positive and enjoyable. So how can we actively foster relationships that are positive, supportive and meaningful?
At the core of meditation is learning to relate to ourselves and others skillfully through compassion and wisdom. We gain insight into how these qualities by developing a mind strongly rooted in curiosity, generosity and patience. This self-knowledge fosters letting go of doubt and negativity that can harm our relationships. As we open, healthy mental habits can develop into love, mindfulness and connection with others.
